San Clemente Turnkey Homes

When I first got into real estate over 20 years ago I always heard the word "turnkey" and had no idea what people were talking about.  It seems like its a favorite word among real estate agents for describing a home that is in excellent condition.  it wasn't later that it was explained to me that it literally meant turn the key in the door and leave without any concern about something falling apart or not working correctly.  Once I got this explanation it started to make sense but I still feel like it's a word that is over used by the real estate community.

Nevertheless, it's a short way to describe a home that needs little to no work done on the home.  Basically, bring your touthbrush and move right in.  This is especially true to describe condos in this way as they are typically lower maintenance than a single family home and many who travel a lot are looking for a place they won't have to worry about when they leave.  

There are currently 18 properties on the market right now being advertised as turnkey properties ranging from a $419,000 condo in the Vista Pacific community to a $3,200,000 single family home  in the San Clemente North area.  The large majority of these homes are older homes that have been maintained in excellent condition and priced under $1,300,000.  Some exceptions to this would be newer construction homes located in the new Sea Summit community.  If you are looking for a turnkey home in San Clemente please contact any of our San Clemente Real Estate agents at 949-204-5110.
