The Broadmoor area of San Clemente is situated in the hill side area directly behind the San Clemente High School as pictured below. It's a very quiet community that is home to many of the single level homes that can be found in San Clemente. The location is ideal and situated high on a hillside that has nice views of the ocean. As you make your way up the hill the views keep getting better with panoramic views of the ocean. The homes were built 1974 to 1976 and normally feature three to four bedrooms with an average 2,000 square foot home with an attached 2 car garage. These are classic ranch style homes with large living and family rooms and bedrooms located off a narrow hallway. The backyards face the ocean and the lot sizes tend to be very generous. In the past ocean view homes were well above the $1 million dollar mark but with the changing economy it's not uncommon to find a nice ocean view home in the $800,000 range.
The best part about these ocean view homes is the location. If you have teenage kids attending High School they will love walking to school every day. At the bottom of the community is Verde Park which has a small path that leads directly in to the San Clemente High School. The high school also sits directly next to the 5 freeway so getting on the freeway to work every day is very easy. You will also find a local Albertson's shopping area with many small shops and restaurants located across the street from the high school and at the bottom of the Broadmoor community. Getting to the beach takes about 5 minutes by car and downtown San Clemente is also located about the same distance from here. If you are trying to locate a single level home then we think the Broadmoor neighborhood is a good place to compare homes. Below are the current ocean view homes in the Broadmoor community.
